Jan. 22nd, 2016 08:06 pmPippi Wigglesworth is a newly employed writer for the Daily Days newspaper, which focuses on gossip news about people and celebrities. She has been tasked with asking people for short interviews, and given a list of questions. Regardless of how she found you, she approaches you with wide eyes and an eager attitude.
What is your full name and its origins? What about any nicknames?
"Karin Adelswärd, Baroness - though that's a title and not a name," Karin chuckles. "I'm also known as the Nightingale of the North - my stage name." And Black Valkyrie though she doesn't want that in print.
Have you any claims to fame?
"Well I am one of Mahogany Halls most famous stars..."
How would you introduce yourself? If you are famous, how would you introduce yourself to someone who had never heard of you?
"Baroness Karin Adelswärd, though you might know me better as the Nightingale of the North if you are a fan of music, either way it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance."
Which of your culture's achievements do you hold in highest regard?
"Brännvin."
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
"I wanted to be just like my Father, a powerful, just and righteous noble person to run the estate and all our land."
What was your most prized possession as a child? Do you still have it?
"My first violin. Sadly not."
What would you change about yourself, if you could?
"Hmm, there's a few scares I'd get rid off."
What are you obsessed with?
"Obsessed? Music I'd say."
What is your greatest achievement so far, or the high point of your career?
"Doing Carmen. It's been the role of my life so far."
When/where were you happiest?
"I'm rather pleased right now..." (though I was happier with Sigrid.)
And the lowest point in your life thus far?
"When I first came to London..."
What was the best decision you ever made?
"Moving to London."
If you have any body modifications, which was most painful, or which do you regret the most? If you haven't got any, do you have any planned, or would you ever consider getting any?
"Does scars count?" she chuckles. "I've nothing done so far, but I've been thinking about getting a tattoo."
What is the most idiotic thing you have ever done while intoxicated?
"You expect me to remember that?" Karin laughs.
What is your favourite joke?
"I can't say I have one."
What is the coolest/most impressive thing you own?
"My grand piano - she's a beauty. And I have a certain amount of dresses that'd make some society ladies green with jealousy."
When did you last cry, and why?
"Some time ago now, and you know what it's like, no? Neath induced nightmares."
What's the best piece of advice you've ever had?
"Never wait until tomorrow to drink what you could drink today."
Similarly, what's the nicest thing anyone's ever done for you?
"Oh I can not choose, there's too many lovely people doing wonderful things."
