It's just for the summer...

misskarin_ebzIt was a warm day, the sun shining brightly on the two young women sitting on the blanket having a picnic. It would have been a perfect day if they didn't have to part so soon.
"It's just for the summer, we will see eachother again in August."
She tried to smile, tried to keep the facade up. After all they where just two friends parting for a short time.
"I'll miss you Karin." The sweet voice of her beloved was filled with emotion.
"I'll miss you to Sigrid, you know that." A quick kiss on the cheek was all she could get away with in public.
"You will write, won't you." Oh sweet Sigrid, still so innocent.
"Of course I will, and you will write me, and time will pass quickly and we will soon be here together again."
They forgot about caution, and the memory of that bittersweet kiss would replay in both their minds all thru the lonely summer nights.
Both their eyes were a bit moist, they could blame it on the bright sun.
