“Drink up damn it.” she scolds him. It’s nice bourbon they share and he should be pleased with it?!

“Oi! Calm down” he says as he downs the tumbler. She’s obviously drunk... but hey, as long as she’s buying the drinks...

“Come on man, you wouldn’t want me to beat you?” she slurs. “Drink man! Drink... it’s a game after all...”

“You think you could win a drinking game?” A wicked smile forms on his lips.

“Tell me again why we are in this tent,” she laughs. The Marshes is not a good place to be camping.

Nathan smiles that adorable boyish smile of his. “Well, Karin, as a fellow artist I thought you’d be able to appreciate the beauty of nature?”

“Don’t believe you can fool me, you hate it just as much as I do! There’s mud everywhere!” she huffs.

“A man must be allowed some secrets,” he jokes.

“Fine, don’t tell me then,” she pouts, doing her best impression of Darling.

“Aww, come now Karin. Surely we should leave the pouting to others? You’re not the type...”

This night it’s not only clouds in Nathan’s blue eyes but also laughter and joy. It’s time to celebrate and what better way to do that than on the dancefloor. “Join me?” He says with his brightest smile, extending a hand to Karin.

“Of course,” she grins, taking his hand, following him to the dance floor. “How could I ever refuse you, the best dancer in the Neath.”

“I rather hope you never will, when you’re not too tightly laced you’re almost as skilled as me,” he jokes. “Now what sort of dance do you think we should engage in this time?”

She laughs. “I do believe you promised me something exhilarating?” A wicked smile on her lips, “do with me what you desire.”

“As you wish,” he says with a wry grin and whisks her into a dance so advanced they both have to focus all their energy on the task at hand. The other couples on the floor stops and stares in awe at their style and grace, and once the music stops there’s applause.

Exhausted but satisfied Karin laughs. “Now that was amazing!”

Jack drunkenly glares at her dancing across the room. Karin sees him and winks. And so he charges towards her, hoist her up on his shoulder and carries her off to one of the Gallery’s spare bedrooms. She laughs all the way there, and once he’s tossed her on the bed she asks, still laughing, “What the hell are you doing Jack?”

“S’aright, I’m a pirate!” He slurs.

“You’re drunk!” She states matter of factly.

“Yeah... I’m a pirate... drunk ‘s part of the job.” He crawls onto the bed, “Now I’ll have my way with you.”

“Well, you’re welcome to try if you think you can manage,” she laughs and pulls him in for a kiss.

Amuse me: Karin and Scarlet

She sits at a cafe drinking some tea when she sees Scarlet enter. Karin thinks the younger woman looks unusually beat down, and if someone as good at hiding her feelings like Scarlet looks so morose something must be amiss.

“Miss Fenwick!” Karin calls out and waves to get her attention.

Oh great... Karin, now she must listen to that horrid accent spewing out idealistic nonsense, all she wanted was some tea. Scarlet sighs and makes her way over, putting on a pleasant smile.

“Miss Adelswärd, how good to see you.”

“Would you care to join me? I’ve got some news I’d like to share with you...” She smiles, knowing that what she has to say will perk Scarlet up at least a bit.

“I’d like that very much,” she takes a seat and waves down a waiter, “now please do share your news with me.” She tilts her head, her interest peaked.

“I have finally made some headway with ‘the box’, I believe I will have it open soon...”

Her fanciful costume, tossed on the floor, is full of grey paint stains all over. “Set me free Sean,” she says turning her back to him so he can unlace her corset.

“With pleasure dear Karin.” He struggles, slightly too drunk for such delicate work, but he manages to fulfill his task and the corset follows the dress.

“I hope you're not still afraid to get paint on me,” she says as she turns around and pulls him into a passionate embrace.

“Not anymore,” he winks.

"Tell me a story," Sapho purrs as she snuggles closer to Karin, nuzzling the Baroness' neck and lazily tracing her collarbone.

"I thought you where the story teller of the two of us, Kitten?" Karin teases as she gently strokes Sapho's hair.

"Oh come on," the redhead pleads an presses a few kisses to Karin's jaw, "I think I've earned it, don't yo?."

"Alright alright," Karin chuckles, "I wouldn't want to disappoint you after that performance." A brief kiss and then; "Once upon a time..."
